I became an educator because:	I want to create opportunities for students with disabilities to be recognized and celebrated for the valuable contributions they make to our society. I believe that special education is a civil rights issue, and it’s crucial to advocate for equitable access and inclusion, so every student has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
